Below contains just some of my trainings and accomplishments starting from 2001. My official training began in 1992 to 1994 when I took part in a building trades program in Sturgis , Michigan. In this program I helped build and finish two homes from the ground up and an additional two homes through rough framing and exterior finish. The two complete homes started from digging the footings through all phases of construction including wiring and understanding the homes electrical infrastructure, rough plumbing and all other aspects of bringing a home to market. It was a tremendous learning experience with my highly respected instructor hero Wes Teeple and forever solidified my commitment to the trades. It was a time to sharpen my passion for applying my love for math with real world problem solving and creation. Upon graduation of the program in 1994 I took my Michigan Residential Builder's License test. I passed the test and immediately moved to Colorado to further pursue on the job training and experience through multiple other trades. In 1999 I took four days of beginner and advanced solar electric design and installation through the Real Goods Solar Living Institute in Hopland, California. The following year I joined the team with Jonathan Hill. Boss, wonderful friend and previous owner of Sierra Solar Systems where I began my official journey in solar and obsession with electrical systems. Below is just a sample of some of the earlier trainings I attended along the way. Since I've obtained NABCEP Certification back in 2004 which requires a minimum goal be met to maintain Recertification every three years I've opted to not post all the countless training certificates I’ve obtained over the last two decades.
